With a focus on the lesser-known destinations of this world, historically I’ve always chosen countries to work in that see little of the mass tread of tourism. Often these countries are maligned by the mainstream media and internal politics – these are the countries that interest me the most. By bringing awareness to these places, local people take pride in their communities and cultural traditions, which in turn creates a sustainable infrastructure to build upon.
My tours seek to winkle out a unique shared experience; to find the local craftspeople and wine producers, to stay in small guesthouses and to travel slowly and with intention. They are after all journeys for the curious.
